Located at 24 Atakpo Street, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria, the Centre aims at attracting scholarly attention to the art of Boat regatta, costumes and Regalia, the traditional technology for the production of related paraphernalia and associated performances. The project is to also serve as skills acquisition centre in crafts and associated industry. Furthermore, it is to serve as a tourist attraction as well as contributing to the growing of local experts and economic empowerment, while arresting youth restiveness in the region. The centre when fully developed will complement the efforts of Federal Government and States from the zone aimed at leveraging our cultural industry for economic sustenance.
