The National Crafts Development Centres serve as avenues for training and retraining of craftsmen and women, skill acquisition and indigenous technology transfer centres as well as media for poverty alleviation, youth empowerment and wealth creation. The patronage of the end products is expected to boost the consumption of made in Nigeria goods thus enhancing domestic revenue generation and curbing rural-urban drift. It is the vision of the Council to collaborate with the states in view to establishing crafts centre in all the states of the federation as means of investment for rural economic growth. Currently, we have among others, crafts centres at Lagos, Bauchi, Maiduguri, Awka, Ikare, Sokoto and Kano.
