Following a rigorous examination process in line with the Federal Civil Service regulations and supervised by the parent Ministry and the governing board of the Council, five individuals were promoted to substantive director on grade level 17 at the end of the recent management promotion exercise held in the Council. They are:
1. Mr Larry Ogbechie- Director, Extension Services
2. Mr Oludotun Osunsanya- Director, Performing Arts
3. Mrs J. T. Akinyemi- Director, Human Resources Management
4. Dr(Mrs )Ben Iheanacho-Director, Research and Documentation
5. Mrs Anne Marie Kanuh- Director, Corporate Planning and Strategy.
With this development, the 4 Professional and 2 statutory departments of the Council now have substantive Directors heading them, which is unprecedented in the history of the Council which was established in 1975.
