Located at Gbonga/Ife Road, Oshogbo, Osun State of Nigeria, the National Research Centre on Textiles is established to focus attention on the textile traditions of Nigeria with a view to encourage the industry to grow thereby providing job opportunities for Nigerians especially in transforming our rural economy. It is also an indigenous skills, designs and technology transfer centre aimed at attracting artistes in residence while encouraging international cultural exchange as well as promote made-in-Nigeria products and the Nigerian dress culture drive.
