The Syria Ambassador to Nigeria Mr. Muhammed Abo Serriah has congratulated Otunba Olusegun Runsewe for the renewal of his appointment for the second tenure.

He said his appointment was renewed because of his proven hardwork, innovation and track record of service.

The Ambassador who stated that he has completed his 4 years tenure of office in Nigeria, commended Runsewe for evolving a viable platform for members of the diplomatic community in Nigeria to interact, adding that Otunba is full of ideas and innovations.

He said that like other members of the diplomatic community, he enjoyed a very healthy working relationship with NCAC under Runsewe.

Noting that he loved Nigeria and Nigerians, the Ambassador pointed out that he would greatly miss the good people of Nigeria, when he eventually returns to Damascus on August 5th.

The Ambassador promised that he would advise the incoming Ambassador to work closely with the Council and come up with a Memorandum of Understanding between Nigeria and Syria, on cultural issues.

In his response, the NCAC Director General, Otunba Olusegun Runsewe said that the Council would miss the good working relationship between the Ambassador and the Council.

Runsewe stated that the fact that the Ambassador is leaving Nigeria now does not mean that his friendship with him and the Council has ended, saying that there would always be opportunities to meet again. The Syria Ambassador to Nigeria who has completed his assignment in the country would be returning to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Damascus where he would work for two years before his next posting.
