Research and Documentation

The Research and Documentation Department is responsible for researching into the traditional and living culture of Nigeria and making the results available for scholars, administrators and the public. It also engages in documentation of these phenomena using all known media including photography, film, video, books etc. It has two Divisions: Research and Documentation; and Six Sections viz Herbal Garden Development, Culinary Traditions Development, Cultural Orientation and Education, Technical Service, Readers’ Services and Audio Visual Services.

The Research and Documentation is headed by Elizabeth O. Ben-Iheanacho, PhD.
